Your thoughts can be your friend or your enemy

I have been thinking recently about the power of self-talk and how it can affect your self-esteem. I recently started reading a book entitled Self-Esteem by Matthew McKay and Patrick Fanning. I just started reading it today while waiting at the dentist's office and I am already hooked! It's both empowering and exciting to think that a person has the power to basically change their entire life just by their thoughts. I know it might sound cliche but I truly believe in this mostly because of how this concept has changed my life already. And the funny part is that I haven't even begun to actively work on changing my negative self-talk yet. Until now. I have made small, halfhearted attempts and make no mistake, I have made leaps and bounds from where I was. However, with this new tool to put in my toolbox, there's no stopping me now!!! 😊😊😊
